KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 6
Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the existing coalition government will continue.
Speaking to the media at Biratnagar Airport this morning, the former Prime Minister and parliamentary leader of the main coalition partner emphasized the need for a broader consensus with a two-thirds majority to amend the Constitution.
He also stated that the NC's upcoming general convention will be held at an appropriate time, adding that the party has no immediate plans to reshuffle its ministers in the NC–UML government.
According to Deuba, the Constitution does not prohibit a former President or Vice-President from re-entering politics.
