KATHMANDU: It has been already 10 years since Father Gafne was killed. However, the murderer is still at large.

Father Gafne of St Xavier’s school, Jawalakhel, was murdered in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur. But the murder accused Gokul Khadka has never been arrested, making the mockery of law.

But the school and students, have not given up home that one fine day the assailant would be brought to book and they would get justice. According to students, Gafne, an American citizen, was popular among his students and guardians alike. Inspector Jagannath Khanal, Investigation Department, about this case, he said, “We are still investigating into the case and trying to arrest the culprit.” He also informed that their attempt to apprehend him in Phaspu VDC, Dolakha, were unsuccessful due to leakage of information a few years back.

Khadka, a driver by profession, had managed to reach to the Father’s residence as one of his relatives was working as a helper in Father’s residence.
