Feedback from 36 districts submitted
KATHMANDU: The number of districts submitting reports to the Constituent Assembly Secretariat on people's feedback on draft constitution reached 36 on Friday. The teams comprising CA members and Secretariat staff deputed in 36 districts for the people's feedback presented the reports, according to Spokesperson for the Secretariat Bharatraj Gautam.Public opinions collected in Kavre, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Kailali, Okhaldhunga, Palpa, Arghakhanchi, Humla, Baitadi, Baglung, Parbat, Gorkha, Solukhumbu, Lamjung, Khotang, Dailekh, Rasuwa, Bhojpur, Dolakha, Darchula, Manang, Dadeldhura, Mugu, Bardiya, Udayapur, Rukum, Rupandehi, Achham, Mustang, Tehrathum, Ilam, Sindhuli, Bajura, Kaski, Jajarkot and Pyuthan were submitted at the CA Secretariat on Friday.
Fraud in police net
KATHMANDU: Police on Friday arrested Gem Bahadur Roka, 37, of Myagdi on charge of defrauding unemployed youths with the promise of job in Uganda. He was held from Boudha acting on a tip-off. Officials said he had swindled Udaya Bahadur Bhandari of Myagdi of Rs 325,000, giving false assurance that he would secure Bhandari a post of security guard that could earn him $1,200 a month in Uganda. Roka has been referred to the Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka for legal action.
