KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 500,000 was destroyed when a house caught fire at Jansahara Chok in Gokarneshwor Municipality-4 of Kathmandu district on Saturday.

According to police, the incident occurred when the house owned by Bharat Gurung caught fire after a short circuit.

The fire was doused with the collective effort of locals and security personnel.

Police are further investigating into the case.
