KATHMANDU:  Property worth around Rs 362,000 was reduced to ashes when a fire broke out at a house in Kageshwori Municipality-7 on Tuesday.

Police said that Rs 300,000 in cash and others valuable goods were gutted in the fire.

The cause behind the blaze that broke out at the house of Gokul Karki was electric short circuit.

The fire was later taken under control with the help of locals.
