KATHMANDU: A fire broke out in a house in Gothatar Khursanibari of Kageshwari Manahara Municipality-8 of Kathmandu district on Monday.

The house belonging to Krishna Chapagain caught fire destroying the property worth around Rs 300,000 yesterday, according to police.

The preliminary investigation points to electric short-circuit in the kitchen as the cause of the blaze, said police.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
