KATHMANDU:  Property worth Rs 500,000 has turned into ashes in fire in Tundaldevi, Chandol, KMC-4 on Thursday.

The shanty belonging to Tazir Miya Dhuniya of Rajpur Khadawa-3, Rautahat  had caught fire.

About 50 quintal cotton, readymade blankets and bed sheets among others  have been destroyed in the fire.

Police with the help of locals doused the fire.

Further investigation is underway.
