KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 92,000 was destroyed when a hut caught fire in Chilaune village of Gokarneshwor Municipality-1 of Kathmandu district on Tuesday.

Police said the cause of the fire was a short circuit.

Meanwhile, property worth Rs 700,000 was gutted when a short circuit started fire at Manichhu Furniture in Shankarapur Municipality-11 on Tuesday.

According to police, a saw and a parked motorcycle (Ba 69 357) were completely destroyed in the incident.

Police are investigating into the cases.
