Fire at Share Market Complex

Kathmandu, February 26

A sudden fire broke out today morning in the fourth floor of Share Market Complex at Putalisadak causing damage worth Rs 5 million.

According to the office of Singhadurbar Police Circle, the fire was brought under control within a couple of hours with the support of fire trucks that were deployed by Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Nepal Police, Nepali Army, Bhaktapur Municipality and several private water providing companies. No casualties were recorded.

The police suspected that the fire probably erupted from the gas cylinder in the kitchen of a private education service provider in the building called Nepal International Education Consultancy.

District Superintendent of Police, at Singhdurbar Police Circle, Atil Raj Bohara said that the fire would have engulfed a much larger area if the police had not reached the place on time.
