Firefighters contain fire at NTC after hour long effort
BHAKTAPUR: The locals of Madhyapur Thimi in Bhaktapur have breathed a sigh of relief as firefighters contain the fire spread in dry bushes in the vicinity of National Tuberculosis Center (NTC) 50 meters near to residential area.
The fire broke out after the garbage which was left unattended in the roadside caught fire from a thrashed cigarette.
Response team from Nepal Police and firefighters arrived promptly at the incident site and put in an hour long effort to douse the fire in close proximity to residential area in Thimi.
"We immediately reached the incident site and combined efforts were made to douse the fire which posed as a major threat to nearby settlement," said Vijay Dhoubhadel, Chief of Fire Fighters at Bhaktapur Fire Station said.
