KAHTMANDU: Property worth around Rs 300,000 has been gutted by fires in two different places of Kathmandu on Wednesday.

The abrupt outbreak of fire due to gas leakage at a bag factory located in Chagal of Dallu in KMC-15 destroyed a generator and other raw materials worth Rs 100,000 that were inside the factory.

Meanwhile, the fire sparked from an electric short circuit has engulfed property worth around Rs 200,000 at Sarlahi Khusbu Lodge and Hotel in Gaushala of KMC-9.

The hotel owned by Jamuna Shah of Siraha district in the house of Manab Thapa had caught fire.

The fire was doused with the help of local people and the police.

Police are doing further investigation regarding the cases.
