Kathmandu, July 3:

Five persons were found dead in the valley in the past 24 hours, police said.

The Metropolitan Police Commissioner’s Office said Hari Narayan Dhakal, 52, of Manamaiju-2 committed suicide this morning.

Surendra BK 32, from Morang, killed himself by hanging from the roof of his rented room at Baphal today. In Maharajgunj, Rita Malla, 14, a domestic help at Naina Subba’s house was found hanging from an iron bar of a staircase this morning. Gopal BK, 55, was found unconscious in his rented room at Swoyambhu and died while being taken to hospital today.

Police also found Santa Bahadur Ghising, 35, dead at Bhainsepati this morning. “Investigations are underway,” the police said.
