KATHMANDU: Five persons were arrested in possession of 4.15 kg pangolin scales from Imadol of Lalitpur on Wednesday.

Bir Bahadur Tamang (30) and Lalkaji Tamang (52) from Gairimudi-7 of Dolakha, Surya Shrestha (21) from Bijulikot-4 of Ramechhap, Chandra Nepali (31) and Bimal Subedi from Bijulikot-3 of Ramechhap were arrested from Imadol, Mahalaxmi Municipality-19 yesterday.

A team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police had nabbed them.

The suspects have been handed over to the Lalitpur District Forests Office, Hattiban, for further investigations and actions.
