KATHMANDU, APRIL 24

Fly Dubai flight witnessed a technical glitch in one of its engines immediately after it took off from Tribhuvan International Airport.

"Captain has reported a technical problem in its engine at around 9:25pm," a source at TIA said.

Flight is safe and continue heading towards its destination, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kirati informed.

Emergency services were also mobilised at TIA after the flight reported engine failure to air traffic controller.

Boeing 737 flight from Kathmandu to Dubai witnessed a technical glitch in one of its engines but Captain has decided to continue its flight, a source at TIA said.

Earlier, flight FZ576 carrying 169 passengers on board was supposed to be diverted back to Kathmandu for forced landing at TIA.

Big sound also heard near Koteshwor, Imadol and Patan area as Fly Dubai's FZ575 flight took off from TIA at 9:21pm. Fire was also seen on the plane as per witnesses. Details to follow.
