Focus on checking drug abuse

Kathmandu: Home Minister Dan Bahadur Shahi said today that ‘spiritual renaissance’ in individuals and the society is needed to prevent drug abuse in the country.

Minister Shahi said this while inaugurating the Drug Abuse Salvation Drawing Exhibition organised by the Brahmakumari Rajyog Sewa Kendra. He also appreciated the role of the organisation in creating awareness among the people through yoga and meditation.

Anantaraj Pandey, Secretary at the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation, said people were indulging in drugs due to lack of spiritualism.
