Foreign Minister off to Geneva

Kathmandu, March 2:

Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav today left for Geneva to attend a three-day high-level segment of the tenth session of the Human Rights Council.

After attending the meeting, Yadav is slated to visit Belgium, Germany and Qatar, said a statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.

He is scheduled to meet ministers concerned in Qatar and discuss issues pertaining to Nepali migrant workers.

He will also address a gathering of business community from Nepal and Germany as well as attend Berlin ITB fair-2009. In Berlin, he will meet Javier Solana, high representative of the European Commission for Common Security Policy.

The Nepali delegation is scheduled to return home on March 16.
