Kathmandu, February 1
Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Paudyal is going to Colombo tomorrow to participate in the 75th Independence Day of Sri Lanka. Foreign Minister Paudyal is making a visit to Sri Lanka at the invitation of Foreign Minister MUM Ali Sabry.
This will be her first foreign visit. A press conference was held to inform about her visit. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has prepared the schedule of her visit. During the visit, there is a programme of political meetings as well as participation in important occasions.
On February 3, the foreign minister is scheduled to meet her counterpart Sabry for the first time. A welcome lunch will be held after the meeting. All participating foreign ministers, including Minister Paudyal, will participate on the historic day of Sr Lanka.
On February 3, there will be a courtesy meeting with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardene.
In the evening, Minister Paudyal will participate in a cultural programme on the eve of Sri Lanka's Independence Day.
