Form new govt: Chure Samaj

Kathmandu, October 10:

The Chure Bhavar Ekta Samaj today demanded formation of a new government along with an adequate representation of the seven parties and agitating groups to ensure election to the constituent assembly.

Issuing a press release at a conference, the Samaj accused the seven parties of deferring the CA election to serve “partisan interests”. Saying that they were assured of timely polls, Samaj president Keshav Mainali said the seven-party government betrayed the people by deferring it. The statement added that communal violence and massacres in Tarai occurred after the government distributed citizenship certificates to non-Nepali nationals. It also accused the government of not being serious about the national integrity and nationality.

“There’s a question mark on this government’s morality and legitimacy, as it has failed to hold election and maintain law and order,” the statement adds.

Mainali said they would announce protest programmes with new demands after Dashain and Tihar.
