Former COAS’s autobiography Janatako Chhoro out

Kathmandu, April 11

Former president Ram Baran Yadav launched an autobiography of former Chief of the Army Staff Chhatraman Gurung at a function here today.

Addressing the book launching ceremony, former president Yadav said he could save the integrity of the Nepali Army, but the parties have damaged other organisations, including the judiciary and other security bodies.

“It was a compulsive move to take the nation to the election under the leadership of a sitting Chief Justice instead of a former CJ,” he said.

He lauded the role of the Nepali Army claiming that it always stood in favour of democracy in the country and suggested that President Bidhya Bhandari find a solution of the existing political problem by bringing all the four major forces together by standing above partisan politics.

Addressing the function for more than an hour, former Yadav also expressed serious concern about the rampant misuse of natural resources of the country.

Former prime minister and senior CPN-UML leader Madhav Nepal, also said the Nepali Army never thought of taking the state under its control and always stood for democracy.

He urged all the important officers and politicians to follow Gurung and let the people and the new generations know what they did.
