Doctors involved in the treatment of Former Prime Minister and Janata Samajwadi Party leader Babu Ram Bhattarai have concluded that his neuroendocrine tumour is non-cancerous. The doctors reached the conclusion after performing test procedures such as biopsy, DOTA NOC tests, Endoscopic Ultrasound, PET ST Scan.

As per Bhattarai's Press Advisor and JSP Central Committee Member Bishwadeep Pandey, the healthcare professionals during a consultation on Monday suggested an immediate surgery so as to cut down the chances of the tumour becoming malignant.

The former Prime Minister will return to Nepal on Tuesday.

He has been receiving treatment at the Indian Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in the Indian capital of New Delhi since February 22.
