KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 10

Former President Ram Baran Yadav has been admitted to Bir Hospital today.

The former President was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after complaining of high blood pressure, diabetes and back pain, according to Vice Chancellor of National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) Prof Dr Bhupendra Kumar Basnet.

Likewise, Minister for Health and Population Mohan Bahadur Basnet visited the former President Yadav and took stock of Yadav's health condition from the hospital.

According to Health Minister Basnet, the health condition of the former President Yadav is improving.

Bir Hospital shared that former President Yadav would stay in the hospital for some more days. "His health condition is stable. A team of doctors is examining his health condition. So, he will be under doctor's observation for some more days," Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Basnet said.

Similarly, Minister Basnet met Physical Infrastructure Minister of Koshi Province Yekraj Karki and Nepali Congress assistant general secretary Mahendra Prasad Yadav at the hospital and wished for their speedy recovery.

NC assistant general secretary Yadav was admitted to the hospital after he was attacked with a sharp weapon in Kathmandu four days ago while Province Minister Karki was admitted to the hospital for the treatment of dengue infection and heart disease.

The hospital said that health condition of Yadav and Karki is improving.
