KATHMANDU, DECEMMBER 18
Four individuals were arrested after police confiscated cash totaling Rs 6.8 million from an unidentified source from Kathmandu on Tuesday night.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Raj Kumar Mali (46), of Dovanpul, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, an 18-year-old youth from New Baneshwor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-10, Pravesh Kumar Paudel (32), of Arjundhara Municipality-7, Jhapa, currently residing at Shantigoreto, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7, and Yubaraj Subedi (27), of Birtamod Municipality-5, Jhapa.
A team of police deployed from the Gaushala Police Circle, arrested them after they discovered the large sum of cash during a routine vehicle inspection of the car (Province 3-01-022 Cha 1972), at Shambhu Marg, Sinamangal, in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9.
All four individuals, along with the seized cash, have been taken into custody for further investigation.
