KATHMANDU, AUGUST 10
The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet at 1pm on Monday, with the presentation and discussion of several bills, including proposed legislation on child labour, the Employees Provident Fund and reconciliation.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, ministers will also respond to questions concerning the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Youth, Labour and Employment during the session.
Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle will present the Employees Provident Fund (10th Amendment) Bill, 2083, while Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Sovita Gautam will introduce the Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083.
Youth, Labour and Employment Minister Ramji Yadav will present the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regularization) Bill, 2083.
On behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Minister Gautam will also propose a discussion on the Remuneration, Service Conditions and Benefits of Officials of Constitutional Bodies (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.
She will further propose, on behalf of the prime minister, the passage of the Bill to Revive the Previous Arrangement of the Nepal Special Service Act, 2042, 2083.
Meanwhile, four parliamentary committees are also scheduled to meet on Monday.
The Infrastructure Development Committee will meet at 10am to discuss a report prepared by its subcommittee on national pride projects.
The Committee on Education, Health and Information Technology, which meets at 9am, will deliberate on the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2081.
The Committee on Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance and the Committee on Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns are also scheduled to meet.
