Four including contract killer arrested for murdering woman
KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Crime Division (MCD), Teku on Monday made public four persons who were on a run after murdering a woman in Bhaktapur on Sunday.
The four allegedly planned and murdered Sabitri Bhattarai (61) on the ground floor of a house belonging to her daughter in Bansbari of Changunarayan Municipality-7.
The arrestees have been identified as daughter of the deceased Ishwari Bhattarai (27) of Indrawati Rural Municipality-5 of Sindhupalchok, currently residing in Changunarayan-7; Mohammad Naushad (23) of Bishnupur in Siraha district, currently residing in Purano Thimi of Bhaktapur; Arjun Kumar also known as Bhola Kumar (24) of East Delhi in India; and Mohammad Rahish (24) of Madhumani in India.
MCD in a press release stated that Ishwari and her boyfriend Mohammad Naushad planned to murder Sabitri after she came to know of their relationship. Fearing that the relationship will become public, the duo with the help of Bhola Kumar brought contract killer Mohammed Rahish to Nepal for Rs 1.2 million and murdered Sabitri.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
