Four robberies reported

Kathmandu, June 5:

A group of about six persons yesterday evening looted property worth about Rs 1 lakh from the quarters of one Jiban Rajbhandari.

Rajbhandari is an accountant at the Hama Petrol Pump at Swoyambhu, Kathmandu.

The group also looted property worth around Rs 1 lakh and Rs 5,000 in cash from the quarters of Sudhar Dhakal, the manager of the petrol station.

In Lalitpur, unidentified persons looted 10 tolas of gold jewellery, Rs 50,000 and a mobile phone set from the house of Krishnaman Maharjan at Lele.

At Sanepa, $200, Norwegian croner 250, Rs 2,000 and a digital camera were stolen from a room of Sumit Hotel yesterday evening. Police said Norwegian national Peter Wood, who works for Save the Children-Norway, had been putting up in the room.
