Fourth robot contest held
Kathmandu, April 26:
The fourth National Robot Contest was organised today with robots made by the engineering students of the Himalayan College of Engineering (HCE) bagging the first prize.
The team of HCE led by Bhupal Sapkota won the ‘Grand Prix’ title with 45 scores in the competition inaugurated by Information minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara.
Acme Engineering College became the first runner-up with 35 scores and Advanced College of Engineering and National College for Information Technology were second runner-ups.
Best Idea award was given to Kantipur Engineering College, Best Artistic Design Award to Thapathali Campus and Best Performance award to PU School of Engineering and Technology.
On the occasion, Mahara said the 21st century is the age of science and technology, so the government should promote the field, urging all the people to work for scientific development.
