KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu on Monday held Diwas Prasad Khadgi, 41, of Sunsari, on the charge of swindling a man of Rs 20,000 with the promise of freeing a detainee from police custody. Official said he had received the cash from family members of Santosh Gupta who was arrested with 7.8 gram heroin from Sundhara on October 1. Gupta is now in the custody of the MPR. Police have charged Khadgi with fraud.
