Free internet service in Ratna Park from mid-October: KMC
KATHMANDU: Here’s good news for internet surfers. Free Wi-fi facility will be provided to people visiting Ratna Park in the Capital from mid-October.
Umesh Bhandari, Assistant Chief of the Ratna Park and Ranipokhari Unit of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City's Environment Division, said that the free internet facility will be provided to the visitors.
The new service comes after the proper management of the Park, which once reportedly had messy past as drunkards, drug users and prostitutes used to frequent there.
Located in the heart of the Capital city, undergone renovation 10 months ago and re-opened on June 30, the Park receives around 1000 visitors on a daily basis.
The entry fee is Rs 25 for adults and Rs 15 for students while differently able people, children and elderly are given free entrance.
As part of the renovation, umbrella-shaped resting places and painted benches have been set up and greenery maintained in the Park. Similarly, footpaths and ponds add to the beauty of the Park.
