Free trip to Australia for 7 Nepalis

KATHMANDU: James Cook University, Australia, today offered seven Nepalis with all expense paid trip to Australia in September to attend a five-day global business executive seminar.

Umesh Thapa of Trinity International College, Sudip Pokhrel of Avenues TV, Sunil Manandhar and Gopal Shrestha of Fred Hollows Foundation- Tilganga Eye Centre, Amala Devi Manandhar and Radha Pyari Nakarmi of Nepal Network for Cancer Treatment and Research, and Tshering Sherpa Ang of Kushudebu Public Health Mission are the lucky seven who will visit Australia to attend the seminar.

According to Justin Sharp, CEO of the Australian university, the trip was funded by Australian businesswoman Sarina Russo as part of her commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative established by former US president Clinton to develop specific and measurable programmes to generate social, environmental and economic benefits across the globe.
