Kathmandu, April 9

The Martyr Memorial Population Cooperative today distributed fruits to patients admitted at the Martyrs Memorial Hospital.

After inaugurating the cooperative’s ninth annual general assembly, Minister of State for Urban Development Manju Chaudhary distributed fruits to at least 40 patients. The hospital located near the Kalanki intersection is being run by the cooperative for the past eight years.

State Minister Chaudhary said she would urge the government to help construct a building for the hospital, which has been running from a rented building.

Cooperative chairman Somnath Adhikari urged all for support to upgrade the hospital. Hospital’s administrative chief Sri Ram Pokharel said people from the villages also visit the hospital.
