FSU demands release of students

Kathmandu, February 16:

The campus chief’s office of Ratna Rajya College has been closed by agitating students for an indefinite period.

The office was locked out yesterday by angry students after some other students were taken away by security forces from the classrooms.

According to a press statement issued by the president of Free Students Union, Bal Gopal Upadhyay, the government has already released 15 of their colleagues who were arrested on February 1.

Upadhyay has asked the government to release Kamal Rawal and Yubaraj Bhandary of IA second year and Chandra Mani Budhathoki and Tekendra Poudel of BA first year who were arrested along with the 15.

Upadhyay has also demanded the immediate release of Surya Karki, a BA second year student, was arrested yesterday from the college premises.
