KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police on Tuesday nabbed Sarvesh Marasini, 36, of Banke, who was absconding after Lalitpur District Court convicted him of fraud on June 4. He was sentenced to two years in jail and fined Rs 5.47 million for swindling several depositors of Rs 46 million in cahoots with other staff of Lalitpur-based Standard Multipurpose Cooperative by making false promises of astronomical interest.
