Girl child workers more vulnerable than boys: Experts
KATHMANDU:
Experts from different organisations today said that the girl child workers in Nepal are more vulnerable than the boy child workers.
Speaking at an interaction on ‘children’s issues in national strategy’ organised by Child Workers in Nepal Concerned Centre, Sita Ghimire from Save the Children-Norway
said that among the 2.6 million child workers, the number of girl workers aged 10-14 are double than the boys. Madhav Pradhan, president of CWIN Nepal, said that vulnerable girl workers are deprived of dignity, education and health facilities. — HNS
