Glad hand for neo-grads

Bhaktapur, November 7:

Students from Thailand and Bangladesh bagged the overall performance and academic performance award on the concluding day of a three-week programme on economic, social, development rights and good governance organised by the Kathmandu School of Law (KSL) in collaboration with South Asian Law Schools’ Forum for Human Rights.

Noufal Abboud from Mahidole University, Thailand, bagged the overall performance award, while Tabassum Mokhduma from Chittagong University, Bangladesh, got the academic performance award on the basis of outstanding performances shown in the elocution contest and other performance at the programme.

Eighteen participants — 12 from Nepal, two from India and one each from Bangladesh, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Morocco — who scored more than 75 per cent in their performance were awarded with Diploma Certificate.

Prof Dr Danielle Celermajer of the University of Sydney, Henryk Montygierd of SS2 Justice and senior advocate Prakash Awasti were also present at the programme.

A total of fifty participants from South Asia, Asia Pacific and Europe participated in the three-week long programme that started on October 16.
