Applications have officially opened for the 11th edition of Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2025, an annual initiative presented by Golchha Group and organized by Glocal Pvt. Ltd.
The program recognizes and celebrates Nepali teenagers aged 13 to 19 who are making significant contributions to their communities through impactful work beyond academics. Launched in 2015 to highlight the achievements of teenagers in Kathmandu, the platform expanded nationwide in 2016 and later reached India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, becoming a prominent platform for youth recognition in South Asia, according to the press release issued by the Glocal Teen Hero Nepal.
Eligible applicants demonstrating leadership, innovation, and social impact are invited to apply online through glocalteenhero.com/nepal by July 30, 2025. The program also accepts nominations of exceptional teenagers. As part of this year's outreach, GTH aims to connect with youth in over 60 cities across Nepal, the release further stated.
Following a detailed screening process, the top 20 candidates-dubbed "20under20"-will be shortlisted, from which six finalists will be selected for the final round. Finalists will be evaluated based on their vision, impact, and sustainability of their work.
The grand finale will feature an esteemed panel of judges, including Chandrika Kalia, Country Director of Coca-Cola Nepal; Dr. Ghana Shyam Gurung, Country Director of WWF Nepal; Seema Golchha, Director of Golchha Group; Suraj Vaidya, President of VOITH; and Thomas Miller, Charge d'Affaires of the European Union to Nepal.
The initiative is supported by a wide range of partners, including the European Union and Embassy of India as strategic partners.
