KATHAMNDU: Gold jewellery worth around Rs 179,000 were reportedly stolen from a room at Milanchok  in Budhanilakantha Municipality-10 of Kathmandu district on Thursday.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into the rented room of Nawaraj Dhakal and made off with gold jewellery including a necklace, a chain and a pair of earrings, weighing total three tolas of gold.

The gang had entered into the unattended room by breaking the padlock of the door, yesterday evening,  informed police.

Meanwhile, police are investigating into the case.
