KATHMANDU, MARCH 5

The government is set to present five ordinances in the House of Representatives (HoR) for endorsement today. The HoR meeting has been scheduled for 1:00 PM to discuss and approve these ordinances. These five ordinances are among the six recently issued by the government.

As per the day's agenda, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will table a proposal seeking endorsement of the Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Good Governance Promotion and Public Service Delivery, 2081.

Similarly, Ordinance to Amend Economic Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility Act, Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Economic and Business Environment Improvement and Investment Promotion, Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Cooperatives, and Ordinance to Amend Privatisation Act.

The government has not listed Ordinance to Amend Some Nepal Acts relating to Land due to the opposition from the Janata Samajwadi Party-Nepal (JSP-N).

Before discussing the ordinances, the HoR will first table the 'Nepal Legal Practitioners' Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081', which originated from the National Assembly, along with the accompanying message from the Upper House.

In preparation for the meeting, the ruling parties-Nepali Congress and CPN (UML)-have directed their HoR members to compulsorily attend the session and support the ordinances.
