Lawmaker Bhim Bahadur Rawal has drawn the attention of the government to the need to manage the garbage of Kathmandu valley.

Taking part in deliberation on different headings under the Appropriation Bill in today's meeting of the House of Representatives, Rawal opined that the government should not evade the responsibility of garbage management, saying it was the responsibility of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

He also requested the government not to put the health of people at risk.

Lawmaker Rawal accused the state of heading towards the path of neo-liberalism and capitalism, which have already failed in the world.

He sought answer from the government, saying how it would manage the country's economy at a time when the per capita debt had reached Rs 60,000 per Nepali.

Rawal spoke about the silence of the government on the issue of Lipulekh pass, Limpiyadhura and Kalapani, saying its approach would not safeguard independence and freedom.

Similarly, another lawmaker Girirajmani Pokharel said it was necessary to collect details of returnee migrants for economic growth of the country. He also stressed the need to utilise their skills for promotion of entrepreneurship.

He requested the government to incorporate all the sectors to foster private investment.

Lawmaker Pokharel complained about allocation of less amount of budget in Madhes under the heading of Climate Adaptation Comprehensive Drinking Water Project.

He also demanded that the government inform the House about the Nepal visit of officers of the US Army and the US visit of Nepali Army officials.
