Govt to establish tourism, hotel management institutions in all provinces: Minister Adhikari
KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari on Tuesday stated that the government was preparing to upgrade the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) into a university.
Speaking at a programme organised on the occasion of 45th anniversary of NATHM here in Kathmandu, Minister Adhikari said that the Ministry was working to establish such institutions in all provinces aimed at producing skilled human resources in the sector.
He further stressed on promoting tourism as it was one of the important sectors to boost the national economy. Minister Adhikari also opined for improving and upgrading the services of airports in the country.
Similarly, NATHM Executive Director Durgadatta Dhakal committed to developing the institution as one of the best institutions in South Asia.
