Govt urged to end fuel shortage

Kathmandu, February 20:

Former presidents and general secretaries of Nepal Student Union (NSU) β€” the student organisation of the Nepali Congress β€” have demanded the responsible parties to end the continued shortage of essentials and bring back life to normal.

β€œThe current crisis of petroleum products and food products signals a bleak future. Regressive forces might be trying to fish in the troubled waters,” the release issued by the 16 former presidents and general secretaries of the NSU said.

They also said that the government should address the demands of the agitating Madhesi groups.

The youth leaders have also urged the government to create an environment of consensus through dialogue with the agitating parties in Tarai.
