GPK flays Assam blasts
Kathmandu, November 3:
Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala has denounced the recent serial bomb blasts in Assam and urged SAARC nations to come together to eradicate the menace of terrorism from South Asia.
In a letter to Indian Prime Minister Dr Man Mohan Singh today, Koirala said he was saddened by the tragic loss of innocent lives in the blasts. “I would like to condemn the barbarous acts of terror and violence against innocent people in the strongest possible term,” said Koirala.
“I convey my sincere condolences to the families of those killed in the attack and wish for speedy recovery of the injured.”
“I would like to call upon all leaders of the SAARC nations to come together to launch decisive strategies and actions aimed at eradicating the menace of terrorism from the region, the statement added.
