KATHMANDU: Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki on Friday launched Mobile Postal Services operated by the General Post Office, Sundhara and urged all to make the postal service reliable and qualitative.

The Office began the Services aimed at providing fast and prompt services and disseminating the information to the doorsteps of the locals in the Kathmandu Valley.

Minister Karki added that the Ministry was working out to make the postal service attractive and the first choice of employees, adding that such services would be extended to other parts of the country in the future.

It is stated that three vehicles will be mobilised for the Mobile Postal Services.

According to sources, the Route 1 vehicle will proceed from the General Post Office and will reach the Employees Provident Fund Office Thamel, the Passport Division, Department of Mines and Geology, the Department of Inland Revenue, Bansbari Area Post Office, Baluwatar Post Office, CIAA Office, Police Headquarters, Postal Plaza Dillibazaar, Immigration Department, Public Service Commission, District Administration Office, Supreme Court and again reach the General Post Office, Sundhara.

The Route 2 vehicle will run from the District Post Office Lalitpur and then to Lalitpur Metropolitan Office, Staff College Jawalakhel, Patan Industrial Zone and will end reaching Tripureshwar.

Similarly, the Route 3 bus will start its services from Babarmahal and will reach Baneshwar, Koteshwar, Thimi and conclude its journey reaching to Bhaktapur Post Office.
