Grade sheets in SLC
KATHMANDU: The government which has enforced letter grading system in the School Leaving Certificate examinations from this year onwards will bring out results in grade sheets by replacing the traditional mark sheets.
A meeting of the Secondary Education Examinations Committee presided by Education Secretary Bishwo Prakash Pandit on Monday approved the model of the grade sheet.
Examinations Controller Khagendra Nepal said the grade sheet will indicate results from grades ‘A +’ to ‘N’.
The policy of giving ‘C’ grade to students acquiring 40 pass marks has already seen passage. The meeting has also approved grade-point average by classifying the 100 marks per subject into four levels.
Discussions are on whether to allow admission in higher education for students acquiring marks less that grade ‘C’.
Students wanting to increase their grading in weak subjects will be allowed to appear for re-exams.
