KATHMANDU: A 20-year-old student died after being thrashed and stabbed with a knife at a slum area between Sanothimi and Lokanthali of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-16 on Sunday.

According to police, Bijaya Lama was seriously injured after three persons allegedly stabbed him with the sharp knife. He died while receiving treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.

At first, he was taken to Motherland Hospital of Pepsicola for treatment.

Lama, a resident of Pepsicola, KMC-34, was a Grade XI student at the Grammar College located in Koteshwor.

Police have arrested Ashok Dahal (19) currently living in Pepsicola and Santosh Lama of Nuwakot district for the investigation.
