KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Tuesday filed a case against six people, including former district education officer of Rautahat, at the Special Court on the charge of embezzling funds meant for Non-Formal Education and National Literacy programmes.

They have been accused of embezzling Rs 4.7 million, according to CIAA Spokesperson Krishnahari Pushkar.

Others accused in the case are Upendra Mandal, Narmada Acharya, Ranjan Kumar Karna, Jaya Prakash Yadav and Prem Shankar Mishra.
