Gyawali lauds inter-Korean summit

Kathmandu, May 3

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali today lauded the inter-Korean summit  and the Panmunjom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Unification of the Korean Peninsula.

Speaking at a programme ‘Welcoming the Historic Peace Summit of Korean Peninsula’ organised by Global Peace Foundation Nepal, Service for Peace Nepal and Lions Club International Multiple Council, Minister Gyawali said, “Not only Koreans but  people around the world are happy with the success of the summit. The inter-Korean summit has spread the message of peace across the world. I hope both countries will work together in the coming days to institutionalise the achievements so far.”

Similarly, foreign affair expert Hiranya Lal Shrestha said, “Entire Asia should learn from the success of the inter- Korean talks. “The summit has shown that peace is the only alternative to war,” he added.
