HCC-N appoints new dean

KATHMANDU: The Honorary Consul of Belgium, Ang Tshering Sherpa, has taken over as Dean of Honorary Consular Corps Nepal (HCC-N).

The decision was made at its 11th Annual General Meeting held on July 23, 2018, according to HCC-N.

The meeting also chose Kiran Vaidya as Vice Dean, Rajendra Kumar Khetan as IPP, Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Shreeram Lamichhane as members. Likewise, Binaya Man Shrestha, Pratima Pande and Hari Prasad Dharel were chosen as advisors.

Sherpa, who replaced the outgoing Dean and Honorary Consul of Portugal Rajendra Kumar Khetan, committed to work for the Corps and proposed his work plan for his tenure in office. He laid special attention to building a cordial relation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).

HCC-N was recognised in 2007 as an organisation that works closely with MoFA, Government of Nepal and other diplomatic institutions.
