Kathmandu, January 2

The government has decided to establish Ram Raja Prasad Singh Academy of Health Sciences in Rajbiraj, Saptari.

The office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers’ meeting on Monday decided to establish the academy, which is expected to benefit the locals of province 1 and 2. As per the decision, Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital will also be part of the academy.

According to Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population Mahendra Shrestha, agreement on establishing the academy has already been signed and the government now needs to formulate necessary law and regulation for its operation.
