According to the Nepal Consulate Office in Seattle, during the meeting with the President, Sherpa asked for a revision to the current citizenship bill to address the concerns of Non Resident Nepalis residing across the globe.

As the current citizenship bill doesn't address the inheritance of NRN citizenship holders, it should be revised in parallel with the NRNA's motto: "Once Nepali always Nepali", Sherpa, who is also the President of 7 Summit Foundation, briefed the President.

During the meeting, Sherpa, being the chair of NRNA's tourism committee, also shared that Nepal Consulate Office in Seattle announced a ten-year-long campaign to bring over a million children of Non Resident Nepali nationals to Nepal, from across the globe.

In response, President Bhandari lauded NRNA's role in Nepal's development and also thanked the consulate office for planning a mega tourism promotion campaign.

On the occasion, NRNA representatives Shyam Tamang and Chhong Karma Sherpa were also present.
