BHAKTAPUR: Maan Bahadur Bishwokarma, former minister for environment, science and technology, today felicitated Sunil Kumar Pariyar, Sagar Nepali and Sangita Thapa Chhetri amid a function organised by Janasakti Bikash Kendra Nepal.

Sunil was honoured for scoring 88.5 per cent marks in master's degree in science and technology from College of Applied Science Nepal and for being the first Dalit from Bhaktapur to achieve the distinction. Sagar and Sangita were felicitated for inter-caste marriage.

Speaking at the programme, Bishwokarma said he was still working to eliminate social discrimination from the society.

He said, "The social discrimination on the basis of caste should end and I would be working to create a society free of such discrimination."
